Knutsford is an old market town that exudes character and warm charm well known for its narrow streets and many interesting and historic listed buildings.
There are shops for everyday needs and some well-renowned restaurants, coffee shops, and wine bars. There is a range of schools in the area including the private Yorston Lodge (3-11yrs). There are also several state Primary Schools, Bexton, Manor Park, Egerton, St Vincents RC, Lower Peover C of E, and Peover Superior. Secondary education is supplied by Knutsford High School which makes Knutsford a wonderful town to raise a family.

There are many events in and around the town each year including the annual Knutsford Royal May Day Procession which dates back to 1864, where hundreds of people parade through the streets and the May Queen is crowned. For the commuter, the close proximity of the M6 and M56 motorways is of great benefit, whilst the rail traveller will be pleased to note that Knutsford’s railway station lies on the main Manchester to Chester line. Manchester International Airport is within a twenty-minute drive.
Tatton Park, Cheshire’s premier historic estate, is close to hand and provides delightful country walks as well as a number of events throughout the year including classic car shows, outdoor concerts, a Christmas market, and the prestigious RHS Tatton Flower Show. The local Cheshire Showground also hosts the superb annual Cheshire Show. Knutsford Golf Club and Egerton Youth club, there really is something for everyone in this gem of a town that was voted the UK’s best place to live in 2017.
