In just 12 months, the world has become a very different place and we want to assure you that Meller Braggins is following strict guidelines so that we can continue to give our clients our personal service of buying and selling homes professionally and most importantly safely.
What has changed?
Our properties within our website and within housing portals like Rightmove will display virtual tours of our properties.
A virtual tour is 360-degree panoramic photos put together to create a reality tour. The tours are then published along with the property details so that prospective buyers can view a property in their own time, and decide if this property would be an option to view in person. Being able to look around a property via a virtual tour helps many of our buyers to look at the layout of the property, is it suitable? Is it big enough? Virtual tours are helping to make a decision to move to the next step of booking an appointment to visit a property.
COVID safe property viewing
Property viewings are still taking place but only with our buyers that have expressed a strong interest in a property. The viewing will be subject to all COVID-19 guidelines that we have put in place to keep our buyers, sellers, staff, safe. To make an appointment to view a property please contact our office and to enable us to book your appointment you will be asked a number of questions:
- Is anyone viewing or attending the office today showing any symptoms of Coronavirus?
- Is anyone view or attending the office today been asked to self-isolate?
- Are you or anyone else within your household showing symptoms of Coronavirus?
- Are you or anyone else within your household in a high-risk category?
Once the appointment is confirmed, upon arrival at a property, we will kindly ask that you wear a face covering and sanitise your hands. We are also operating the NHS track and trace so you will be kindly asked to scan the QR code or we will take a note of your name and contact details.
Meller Braggins staff who are conducting property viewings will be wearing face coverings and disposable gloves. We also ask that all our prospective buyers visiting a property also wear a face covering and a mask. Should you arrive without the necessary PPE items the property viewing will not be able to continue and will have to rearrange.
- We request that only two people from the same household attend a viewing with one Meller Braggins member of staff.
- We ask that no one touches anything within the property and that we are all socially distanced where possible.
- All parties will need to have washed their hands and sanitised as much as possible.
- Our staff conducting the viewing will have already prearranged with the current owner the layout of the property for easy viewing. The owner will have opened windows and doors where possible so that there is no need to touch anything whilst a viewing is taking place. If at any point there is contact with a surface area this will be sanitised.
- If a property is empty we will wipe down any surfaces and door handles that have been touched after the viewing has taken place.
- If a Mellor Braggins staff member is not able to be present at a viewing we aim to make sure that the buyer and seller clearly understand how the viewing should take place so that all parties are safe.
It is our utmost priority to keep our staff safe as well as keeping our buyers and sellers safe.
