Building Surveys (Structural Surveys)

Objective

Building surveys are most suitable for older, larger properties or for those houses where significant alterations and extensions have been carried out, for property where ongoing maintenance and repair have been neglected or where you propose to carry out alterations.

Content

The surveyor will examine everything that is reasonably visible and accessible

The inspection will cover the structure and finishes of the building, outbuildings, grounds and boundaries and have regard to nearby trees.

The report is a detailed technical report with advice not only on work that will be required in the immediate future, but also details of future maintenance and repairs.

A schedule of photographs will also be included in the report.

Do the sensible thing – arrange for a Building Survey before you commit yourself to your purchase.
