The woodland is situated on the periphery of Barnton village and is within close proximity of locally well-known landmarks such as Marbury Country Park, Anderton Nature Reserve with the historic boat lift and lovely canal walks.
From Northwich town centre proceed up Winnington Hill toward Winnington and Barnton pass through a set of traffic lights at Moss Road. Cross the River Weaver via the swing bridge and turn right onto the A533 (Soot Hill) continue on for approximately 1/3 mile before turning left into Hough Lane. The Woodland will be immediately seen on the left hand side.
