| MACMILLAN'S COFFEE MORNING |
|
September 25th saw steam rising over Meller Braggins and it was not associated with the current economic climate! Kettles were primed, cakes baked and staff decorated themselves and their offices to take part in the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning in aid of Macmillans Cancer Support.
Now a widely recognised national fundraising event, Macmillan’s Coffee Mornings have had huge success in previous years and this year proved to be no exception with thousands of people holding or attending coffee mornings across the country and in several other parts of the world to raise money for people affected by cancer.
Everyone embraced the morning with enthusiasm with each of our offices throughout Cheshire hosting a variety of events including tombolas, competitions and raffles amongst the more traditional refreshments and cake baking. Everyone and anyone was welcome with members of the general public, clients and local professionals being amongst guests.
The morning not only involved our Sales staff but also those from our Land Agency, Surveying and Letting Departments who all played important parts and together with our Directors, helped raise nearly £870 for Macmillan Cancer Support.
Managing Director, Nigel Lammas commented:
‘I was delighted that Meller Braggins could offer their support to such an important and worthwhile cause. The contribution from our staff was truly remarkable and I was thrilled that this was reciprocated by the public. The morning proved to be thoroughly enjoyable and we look forward to next year’s event’.
To all our staff (and their families), to those who attended and to all those who contributed, I must extend a huge ‘thank you’.

National Champions: Warrington RUFC 'Under 12s' Team
|
Warrington RUFC's 'Under 12s' team has scored
its biggest victory yet by beating Brighton at Twickenham in the final
of the Gullivers Sports Travel Championship.
Sponsored by Meller Braggins and Baker Tilley, the team has enjoyed a
superb season, winning a number of local tournaments in addition to the
prestigious Lancashire Cup.
Meller
Braggins' Managing Director, Nigel Lammas said; “ As co-sponsors of the
team it's a real pleasure to learn of the success with which these
young players have met. Brighton were able to field four Harlequins
Academy players in their team, which highlights the scale of this
achievement. We are delighted to have played our part and wish them
well as the new season gets under way in the autumn.”

| TARPORLEY
BRANCH LAUNCHED BY MELLER BRAGGINS |
|

Branch Manager, James Keeble
|
As part of its programme of selective expansion, Meller Braggins has
opened a new branch at 71B, High Street,Tarporley.
Commenting on the initiative Rodney Jennings said; “Following the
successful launch of our Nantwich office in 2005 we have been seeking
the right opportunity to consolidate our coverage of south Cheshire. I
believe, with the arrival of our superbly located Tarporley office, we
will have achieved this goal and gained a wide range of operational
options that will bring very visible benefits to vendors and purchasers
of property in this attractive area.”
“Given the strength of our operation in north Cheshire and south
Manchester, the company is well placed to take advantage of the strong
demand for rural properties by purchasers seeking to move out of the
larger conurbations. The branch will be managed by James Keeble, who is
also in charge of our Nantwich office, with support and back-up from
highly experienced personnel, enabling the Nantwich and Tarporley
offices to effectively complement one another.”
“We are also especially pleased that the Principal Surveyors from our
Northwich based Building Design & Survey Department have strong
local connections,” he added.
