As part of its programme of selective expansion, Meller Braggins has opened a new branch at 71B, High Street,Tarporley.

Commenting on the initiative Rodney Jennings said; “Following the successful launch of our Nantwich office in 2005 we have been seeking the right opportunity to consolidate our coverage of south Cheshire. I believe, with the arrival of our superbly located Tarporley office, we will have achieved this goal and gained a wide range of operational options that will bring very visible benefits to vendors and purchasers of property in this attractive area.”

“Given the strength of our operation in north Cheshire and south Manchester, the company is well placed to take advantage of the strong demand for rural properties by purchasers seeking to move out of the larger conurbations. The branch will be managed by James Keeble, who is also in charge of our Nantwich office, with support and back-up from highly experienced personnel, enabling the Nantwich and Tarporley offices to effectively complement one another.”

“We are also especially pleased that the Principal Surveyors from our Northwich based Building Design & Survey Department have strong local connections,” he added.

MELLER BRAGGINS CHESHIRE CRICKET LEAGUE 2008

 Graham Pike

“Following the very poor weather that prevailed throughout most of the 2007 season in what turned out to be one of the UK's wettest summers on record, players and supporters alike are hoping for a significant improvement in playing conditions this year,” comments Meller Braggins' Director, Graham Pike.

“Under these very difficult circumstances, clubs made strenuous efforts to keep the fixture list on track and are to be complimented on having been generally successful in this. As sponsors we were very conscious of the huge efforts being made to meet the league's obligations and offer our congratulations to all who helped to secure this goal.

I have no doubt that, as in previous years, we shall once again face the challenge of attracting sufficient numbers of new young players into the game at a time when there are so many other interests and activities competing for their attention. A warm, dry summer and the prospect of some exciting cricket could be just the impetus needed to boost recruitment across the league.

Whatever the season holds, I am delighted to join with Directors and Staff at Meller Braggins in wishing the clubs many enjoyable months of cricket ahead,” said Graham.
