Home Information Packs (HIPS) become law in England and Wales on 1st August, 2007

From this date, vendors bringing residential properties comprising four or more bedrooms to the market will be required to provide the requisite information for intending purchasers in a form agreed between Government and property market professionals. This requirement was extended to three bedroom properties from 10th September 2007.
